Halloween starts early in San Francisco. The first day of the pub crawl takes place one week before Halloween and serves as the official kickoff to the 2026 celebration.

Throw on your costume and spend Saturday afternoon and evening hopping between participating bars throughout San Francisco. Your pub crawl wristband gives you access to discounted drink specials, DJs, party favors, contests and other activities at participating locations.

It is a great option if you want to celebrate Halloween before the busiest weekend arrives or simply want an extra excuse to wear your costume this year.

Halloween Weekend officially gets started on Friday night.

The October 30 pub crawl brings thousands of costumed partygoers out to bars throughout San Francisco for a night of drinks, music and Halloween celebrations. Check in starting at 6 PM, grab your wristband and pub crawl map, then make your way to participating locations around the city.

Expect discounted drink specials, DJs, party favors, contests and plenty of costumes as San Francisco gets ready for Halloween Day.

San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl: Crawloween

Halloween Day is the biggest event of the four-day celebration. Since Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, the party starts early at 2 PM and continues through the evening. More than 50 bars throughout San Francisco are expected to participate, with thousands of costumed pub crawlers taking over the Marina, Polk Gulch, Russian Hill and other neighborhoods.

The main event features discounted drink specials, DJs, the Costume Contest, Find the Gnome Contest, party favors and the free Pub Crawl Party Bus, which helps attendees travel between participating areas.

If you are only attending one day of the San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl, October 31 is the biggest day of the weekend.

Halloween Pub Crawl: Dia De Los Muertos

Halloween may technically be over, but the weekend gets one final celebration on Sunday.

The November 1 pub crawl closes out four days of events with an afternoon and evening of bar hopping, drink specials, music and costumes at participating San Francisco bars.

It is a more relaxed way to finish Halloween Weekend and one last opportunity to put your costume to use before packing it away for another year. Día de los Muertos-inspired attire and skull face paint are also welcome when worn respectfully in recognition of the holiday.
