San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl

The San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl returns in 2026 for 4 days of Halloween parties, costumes, drink specials, DJs, contests & bar crawlin' across some of SF’s best nightlife neighborhoods.

The event takes place over two weekends, beginning on Saturday, October 24 and continuing through Sunday, November 1. The main event happens on Halloween Day, Saturday, October 31, with participating bars spread throughout the Marina, Russian Hill, Polk Gulch, Union Square and other parts of the city.

More than 50 bars are expected to participate, giving you the chance to move between different neighborhoods and venues throughout the event. Participating locations include Mayes Oyster House, Decodance, R Bar, McTeague’s Saloon, El Lopo, Zhuzh, Wreck Room, Shanghai Kelly’s, The Buccaneer, Sacred Taco, The Blue Light, Union Street Ale House, Palm House, The Brixton, Comet Club, Marina Greens, Rick & Roxy’s, Moez Tavern, White Rabbit, Music City Starfactory, Uni Pizza, Route 101, Rockwell, Jaxson, Westwood, Silver Cloud, Hanaro, Amsterdam Cafe, Beso Mae, 620 Jones, Owl Tree, Persona, Wizards & Wands, Last Drop Tavern, The Summer Place, Kung Fu Action Theater, Campus, Lush Lounge and more.

Tickets include access to discounted drink specials at participating bars, along with DJs, party favors, costume contests and other Halloween activities. The event also features the popular Find the Gnome Contest, where hidden gnomes are placed around participating locations for participants to find. Find a gnome, win some cool prizes. 

One of the best things about the event is the free Pub Crawl Party Bus, which makes it easier for attendees to move between participating neighborhoods and bars during designated event times. The Party Bus will be available on 10/31. 

Costumes are a major part of the weekend. Thousands of people are expected to dress up for Halloween, with a Costume Contest giving participants another reason to put some extra effort into their outfits.

The San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl has grown into one of the largest Halloween celebrations in the city. In 2025, the event attracted more than 25,000 people and broke the world record for the World’s Largest Pub Crawl. The 2026 event is expected to be even bigger, with four separate crawl dates and more than 50 participating bars.

About Crawloween

The San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl was created by CrawlSF and returns in 2026 for its 15th annual event.

What began as a much smaller Halloween bar crawl has grown steadily every year, adding more participating bars, more neighborhoods, more event dates and thousands of additional attendees. Over time, it has become one of San Francisco’s biggest Halloween traditions and the largest Halloween pub crawl in the United States.

Today, the event stretches across multiple San Francisco neighborhoods and includes more than 50 participating bars, costume contests, DJs, drink specials, party favors, transportation between event areas and other Halloween activities.

The company behind the event, CrawlSF, has been producing large-scale events in San Francisco for more than two decades. The local event company organizes pub crawls, holiday celebrations, themed parties and other special events throughout the year, including major events for St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween and the Fourth of July.

The Halloween Pub Crawl has become one of CrawlSF’s signature events. After starting small, it has continued to grow year after year, eventually attracting tens of thousands of attendees and becoming a major part of Halloween weekend in San Francisco.
